Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Dorsett Kuala Lumpur and check out their scrumptious Chinese New Year feast for diners to usher in the Lunar New Year with auspicious offerings!
Each set menu caters for a table of 10 persons that includes a pot of Chinese Tea.
Set Menu 1 (RM1,288 nett per table of 10 persons)
* Prosperity Vegetarian Snow Pear Yee Sang or Jelly Fish Yee Sang
* Braised Seafood with Bean Curd and Mushrooms
* Deep Fried Boneless Chicken with Young Mango Salad
* Wok Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk
* Deep Fried Seabass with Superior Soy Sauce
* Braised Black Mushroom with Seasonal Vegetables
* Yong Chow Fried Rice
* Chilled Sea Coconut with Logan
Set Menu 2 (RM1,388 nett per table of 10 persons)
* Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang in Plum Sauce or Thai Style Tiger Prawn Yee Sang
* Braised Superior Seafood Soup with Crabmeat
* Roast Pei Pa Duck with Sweet Sauce
* Wok Fried Prawn with Supreme Soy Sauce
* Steamed Patin Fish with Homemade Soy Sauce
* Braised Black Mushroom and Fish Maw with Broccoli

* Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang in Plum Sauce or Thai Style Tiger Prawn Yee Sang
* Braised Superior Soup with Assorted Seafood
* Roast Chicken with Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce
* Fried Butter Prawn with Oatmeal
* Steamed Seabass with Sichuan Sauce
* Braised White Jade Shellfish and Black Mushroom
* Fried Rice with Seafood and Silver Anchovies
* Osmanthus Jelly
If you are looking to get a Yee Sang takeaway for your family, you can also look at pre-ordering individual Yee Sang boxes from the ala carte menu at Checkers Café. The Jelly Fish Yee Sang is selling at RM108 nett, Vegetarian Snow Pear Yee Sang at RM108 nett, Thai Style Tiger Prawn Yee Sang at RM138 nett and Salmon Yee Sang at RM148 nett.
The above Chinese New Year Yee Sang and set menus are available from 22nd January to 19th February 2019. The hotel also offers banquet dining during this period of time.
