Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant for their “Gathered Elegance” promotion, offering plethora of festive specialties for diners to celebrate this Lunar New Year.
Usher in the Year of Swine with 3 decadent set menus, where the dishes signifying everything auspicious from prosperity, good luck, good fortune, good health and longevity. The menus echo Executive Chef Michael Chew Chee Peng’s 2-decade culinary prowess and centred on time-honoured Cantonese cuisine signatures.
It is customary for tossing the Yee Sang high in the air with chopsticks. The higher you toss, the higher your life and social standard will soar. The bigger mess you make, the bigger grounds of all your wishes will be covered!
5 varieties of Yee Sang are available for dine-in or take-away from 1 January til 1 March 2019. Priced from RM118.00 nett, the premium selection includes Yee Sang with Salmon Skin and Abalone, Yee Sang with Soft Shell Crab, Yee Sang with Abalone, Yee Sang with Salmon and Fruits Yee Sang with Chef’s Signature Sauce.

The “Gathered Elegance” promotion is available daily for lunch (12 noon to 2:30 pm) and dinner (6:30 pm to 10:30 pm) for a table of 10 persons with a complimentary bottle of wine.
Among the featured dishes are Braised Pumpkin Soup with Mixed Seafood, Barbecue Roast Duck and Chicken, Steamed Live Dragon Garoupa with Superior Soy Sauce, Wok Fried Prawn with Salted Egg Yolk, Braised Abalone with Seafood, Steamed Rice with Assorted Preserved Meat and Nian Gao with Coconut Flakes.
