Yoodo, Malaysia’s first truly customisable digital mobile service has turned one!

Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently got an opportunity to learn more about Yoodo and the power of customisation through a fun and interactive briefing session with Chow Tuck Mun, Head of Yoodo.

Since its launch in 2018, Yoodo has garnered a strong and highly supportive community of users, affectionately called Yooders. They are free to customise their packages that stretch over data, voice and messaging, with up to 1,000 possible combinations, alongside the ability to dynamically add-on or auto-renew as they please.

Yoodo celebrated its first year anniversary by rewarding its loyal customers who have been subscribers since the beginning, with special goodies including a new smartphone and a limited edition Yoodo hoodie.

“Mobile customers are getting more discerning and looking for more control over what they get. We came in at the right time a year ago delivering true freedom and transparency through our customisable plans,” explained Chow Tuck Mun, Head of Yoodo.

Other highlights that have marked Yoodo’s year are the first ever Yoodo Community Day that had a large gathering of users coming out to celebrate and grab a sneak peek of the coming offers.

Yoodo also involved in the sponsorship of Malaysia’s first ever official PUBG MOBILE National Championship and the sponsorship of the winning team, Gank FTY, as the first official Yoodo gaming team that will be participating in upcoming PUBG MOBILE tournaments across the country. Some of the exciting offerings from Yoodo in the past year that I like include the Roam Like Home packages that allows users to travel to up to 53 different countries with their local Yoodo plan all at a flat rate of either RM10 or RM20.

Interested to become a Yoodo user?

First, you would have to order a free SIM via the app or web and then proceed to choose to have the SIM delivered for free within 1 to 3 days.

After downloading the Yoodo app, you are then able to self-activate and self-authenticate your SIM and identity using your IC or passport alongside a facial recognition scan.

You can then customise your plans by altering the amounts of data, voice and messaging to suit your specific needs. The plan can also be changed at any time using the app with no extra fees charged. The effects will take place immediately the following month.
