Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to the latest LuLu Hypermarket outlet at 1 Shamelin Mall to check out their “Food Carnival” promotion that is happening from 19 until 31 July 2019. YB Datuk Dr Shahruddin bin Md Salley, Deputy Minister of Federal Territories was also at the event to grace the launching ceremony of LuLu’s “Food Carnival” campaign.

This new outlet, which is also LuLu’s 174th globally, is strategically located in the Cheras area of Kuala Lumpur city. The hypermarket has dedicated sections for grocery, dairy products, fish and seafood, fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, dry goods, fashion garments, electronics, IT, stationery, sports, footwear, and luggage among others.

With slogan “Where The World Comes To Shop”, this “Food Carnival” is celebrated in all LULU around the world as part of the marketing effort to introduce various foods from around the world to Malaysians.

Customers can enjoy great offers on various ready-to-eat in the Hot Food section and food-related items during this 13-day event. There will be many types of foods from local cuisines, Arabic, Indian, Oriental as well as delicious dessert, cookies and juices. Do check out their thematic promotion on daily basis, where different type of food is highlighted each day as below :

I like their roastery section. You can find wide varieties of nuts, dates, dried fruits, snacks, and even fragrant coffee beans here. My favourite items USA Almonds are selling RM44.90 per kg (normal price RM69.90), while the Walnuts are selling at RM44.90 per kg as well (normal price RM74.90), truly great deals if you ask me!

Basboosa, Awamath, Remosh Reth, Barasic, Mamool with Dates, Graiba, Baklawa, Konafa… If you like Arabic desserts, then you should come to LuLu Hypermarket and check out the varieties being offered here. The Konafa with Pistachio is selling at RM34.99 per kg (normal price RM38.99) during the “Food Carnival” promotion. You can also taste assorted Arabic sweets for RM27.99 per kg.
