Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went for weekend staycation at Best Western i-City Shah Alam. The hotel is just 400 meters walk from i-City Theme Park, and is accessible from 3 main expressway, Federal Highway, New Klang Valley Express and Guthrie Highway.

Best Western i-City Shah Alam has 214 modern and comfortable rooms spread over 18 floors complete with complimentary WiFi, fitness center, restaurant and multiple meeting rooms. Modern and comfortable, I was given the Deluxe Room with King sized bed for overnight stay. The hotel also offers Superior Room and i-Suite to give the guests an ideal accommodation experience for both business and leisure travellers.

Best Western i-City Shah Alam recently introduces “My Stay is My Way” promo where you can personalize your stay at your own convenience. Just top up additional RM60 to enjoy flexible check in and check out time, 24 hours stay, as well as minibar pack.

If you are lazy to go out for lunch, why not head to The View Cafe for their new “Go Beyond Signature” menu that features 8 delicious mouth-watering dishes, namely Cincalok Beef, Salmon Noodles, Sambal Roulade, Malaysian Spaghetti Classic, Satay Burger, Tuna Miso, Coffee Lamb, and Stuffed Tempoyak Eggplant. The View Cafe is an all day dining restaurant with an alfresco dining option overlook the i-City Theme Park.

I tried the Salmon Noodles (RM25), a vermicelli dish served in special salmon broth, together with salmon head, bean sprouts, and sambal belacan.

Something unique that caught my attention for the Western food lovers, their Coffee Grilled Lamb (RM30), served together with cassava mashed, local vegetables, and of course the special coffee sauce.

For seafood lovers, The View Cafe is having the Seafood BBQ Eat-All-You-Can promotion every Friday from 7 pm until 10 pm. Priced at RM75 nett per adult and RM52.50 nett per child or senior citizen, every paid diner is entitled for one bottle of beer or a glass of mocktail.

The buffet spread featured varieties of fresh seafood like mussel, red snapper, stringray, indian mackerel, mackerel, salmon, squid, half shelled scallop, and flower crab. All you need to do is pick your favourite pieces and the chef will cook it on the spot for you. I was a bit tired and wanted to lay on the bed just watched television to have some rest time. I ordered my room service for supper using the hotel’s new QR code ordering system and got 20% off on the total bill! I had the signature View Cafe Fried Rice (RM27) and Fries (RM12). The hotel’s room service was quite fast in delivering foods to my room.

It is very easy to use, just scan the QR code located at the dressing table with your QR scanner mobile app, then pick your favourite dishes, and press submit to proceed your order with the kitchen.

Best Western i-City Shah Alam is just within 5 minutes leisurely stroll to i-City Theme Park. Perfect for family trip or short staycation, you can discover the main attractions like WaterWorld, SnoWalk, City of Digital Lights and many more. The hotel also provides free shuttle service 5 times daily to and from Central i-City for the convenience of its guests.
