Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to BBQ Ma Eul Cup Bab at Damansara Utama to check out their BBQ Set Dinner Menus, which only priced from RM64 for 2 to 3 persons. For those who enjoy alfresco dining experience, you can choose to sit at outside of the restaurant.
BBQ Ma Eul Cup Bab offers 3 types of set menus that feature classic combinations of grilled meat and kimchi :
Set 1 : RM64 (2-3 persons)
Includes marinated pork, grilled baby octopus, and kimchi stew
Set 2 : RM86 (2-3 persons)
Includes sliced pork belly, spicy grilled pork belly, pork ribs marinated in special sauce, and kimchi stew
Set 3 : RM68 (2-3 persons)
Includes sliced pork belly, pork shoulder, and grilled baby octopus
If you want to order some a la carte items, BBQ Ma Eul Cup Bab has a lot of fresh meats for you to grill, such as beef ribs, beef brisket, pork neck, grilled chicken, grilled duck, grilled mackerel, and many more!
You can also order additional Cheese (RM5) to wrap your barbecued meat and make it tastes even better!! Look at the cheese pulling effect, it drives me crazy already đŸ˜‰
If you want something more filling besides the BBQ meats, I will usually order the Spicy Rice Ball (RM18). It is a lump of cooked rice made into a round loaf the shape of a fist. Rice ball is also often eaten as a light meal, between-meal snack, street food, or an accompaniment to spicy food.
The staff here will help to prepare it, and lightly grilled the rice ball on top the stove pan before serve it to you. Of course, you are welcome to wear the gloves and make your own too.
Another popular Korean food that I like a lot, the Spicy Rice Cake (RM17). Loaded with fiery Gochujang sauce, I enjoy its chewy texture in sweet and spicy taste. Here at BBQ Ma Eul Cup Bab, you can also have your tteokbokki with ramen (RM22), cheese (RM21), or ramen and cheese (RM26).
Served chilled, this Buckwheat Noodle Soup (RM20) is a Korean noodle dish of long and thin handmade noodles made from the flour and starch of various ingredients, including buckwheat, potatoes, sweet potatoes, arrowroot starch (gives darker color and chewier than buckwheat noodles), and kudzu. I did enjoy this light and refreshing Naeng Myeon especially after some hot spicy foods.
I always thought the refillable side dishes (banchan) is the best thing about Korean restaurant. Just look at the varieties offered at BBQ Ma Eul Cup Bab, I am quite impressed. Again, please only take the amount that you can finish, wasting food is a no-no for me.
They also have another outlet at C180 Cheras (A1-G, Jalan C180/1, Dataran C180, 43200 Cheras). Open daily from 12 noon until 12 a.m., you can make reservation through the number 6010-985 2548.
