Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Dorsett Grand Subang for their Chinese New Year feast that fits for an emperor at its celebrated Chinese restaurant.
Home to resplendent Muslim-friendly Chinese restaurant, The Emperor will be serving up an exquisite feast of Chinese New Year festive menus crafted exclusively by award-winning Chinese Executive Chef Bryan Teh, with his own blend of aged-old dishes and contemporary creations.
Start with a Toss of Prosperity, a refreshing yee sang selections at hand with a choice of traditional yee sang sauce or go for a bit of an adventure with Japanese Wasabi yee sang sauce. Making its debut as well is the irresistible serving of The Emperor’s own, Japanese style Prosperity Yee Sang with Crispy Fish Skin and Salmon Fish (RM98+ half portion). Also available are Jellyfish and Fresh Fruits Prosperity Yee Sang (RM68+ half portion); Salmon Fish and Korean Pear Prosperity Yee Sang (RM68+ half portion); Baby Abalone and Korean Pear Prosperity Yee Sang (RM138+ half portion); and Soft-Shell Crab and Korean Pear Prosperity Yee Sang (RM88+ half portion).
Chinese New Year is also a time for family togetherness and radiates the beliefs of ‘Family that eats together, Stays together’. Executive Chef Bryan has put together 3 different set menus to cater to different budget :

* Sliced Abalone and Korean Pear Prosperity Yee Sang
* Double Boiled Sea Whelk with Bamboo Pith and Farm Village Chicken
* Roasted Crispy Duck with Glutinous Rice
* Steamed Live Pearl Grouper Fish with Superior Soya Sauce
* Wok Fried White Prawns with Shimeji Mushroom Sauce
* Braised Dried Oyster with Sea Cucumber and Sea Moss
* Steamed Rice with Chicken and Mushroom in Clay Pot
* Double Boiled Red Dates with Sweet Peach Resin
* Deep Fried Chinese New Year Cake and Osmanthus Jelly Cake
On the eve and first day of Chinese New Year, diners at The Emperor will receive a goody bag from Lee Kum Kee (one per table reservation and subject to stock availability) and for those who order the Wealth Set Menu may stand a chance to walk home with a special Gift Box courtesy of Lee Kum Kee, limited to only 2 sets per day.
Not forgetting as well is The Emperor’s Chinese New Year Special, which offers tantalizing ala-carte dishes like Braised Dried Assorted Seafood and Sea Moss Served in Claypot (RM188+); Wok-fried River Prawns with Superior Soya Sauce (RM48+ per each prawn); Stir Fried Fresh Scallop with Assorted Vegetable and Macadamia Nuts (RM98+) ; Stewed Dried Oyster with Black Mushroom, Black Moss and Stuffed Bean Curd (RM68+); Oil Poached Mandarin Fish with Superior Soya Sauce (RM230+ per kg); and Roasted Crispy Duck Stuffed with Glutinous Rice (RM188+).
