Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to YouMiQi Restaurant and sampled some of their delicious signature dishes. Serving Guangdong Shunde cuisine in Malaysia since 2013, the group recently opened its second brand Elite YouMiQi in Imbi, Kuala Lumpur city centre on 13th September 2022.
Shunde Men Pot, Stir Fried Milk with Seafood, Fish Fins, Master Chef Flaming Seafood, Traditional Lap Mei Rice, Shunde Roasted Chicken… come taste the authentic Guangdong Shunde cuisine at their classy and comfortable dining hall with family and friends!
Paired together with its unique sauce, this BBQ Stingray Fins (RM32.80) is one of Elite Youmiqi’s signature appetisers that you can try. It goes well with your chilled beer or wine.
Next, we had the Stir Fried Celtuce with Garlic (RM38.80), a vegetable dish that is seldom found on other restaurants’ menu. Comes with light refreshing taste and crunchy texture, celtuce is also called stem lettuce, celery lettuce, asparagus lettuce, Chinese lettuce, or Woju in Mainland China.
Coated with thick cheese sauce that has garlic, lemongrass, and curry leaves as well, these Baked Ribs with Garlic and Cheese (RM38.80) will surely satisfy your meat craving with bold flavour.
Served in an attractive presentation, this Shunde Roasted Free Range Chicken (RM118.80) was cooked in a special oven until the skin is crispy golden brown. Chef marinated the chicken using ingredients that were imported from China to achieve the distinctive taste.
Be prepared to wait for around 30 minutes because this signature dish is only cooked upon your order to keep its texture tender and juicy. Remember to enjoy the meat together with the chicken gravy that contains all the fragrant essences.
As a rice lover, I immediately fell in love with this Hong Kong Brother Fried Rice (RM58.80) after the first bite. Chef fried the rice with margarine for extra flavour, and diners need to mix the rice well together with the savoury topping ingredients that consist of pork, shrimp, green beans, and fermented black beans before consuming it.
First time trying this Deep Fried Milk, a well-known dessert in Shunde cuisine. It is golden crisp on the outside, while the texture inside is soft with a nice milky flavour that I like.
