The very first Tim Hortons® restaurant is set to open in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on August 15, 2024, at IOI City Mall with a second outlet launching at Sunway Velocity just two days later. This marks a significant milestone in the brand’s global expansion, with ambitious store opening plans in the next 10 years.

At Tims, ‘Always Fresh’ isn’t just a saying; it’s a way of life. Their coffee pairing food and baked goods are freshly prepared and made to order, ensuring high-quality, great-tasting food and beverages for their guests.
The Malaysian Tim Hortons® menu will feature an exciting array of premium beverages, including fan favourite French Vanilla, a Maple Cinnamon Latte, and experience exclusive Malaysia-only Iced Capp® local flavours like Butterscotch Ondeh Ondeh, and Teh Tarik Tribute.
The food menu offers irresistible iconic Maple Chicken Deli Cheese Melts and local exclusive Sambal Chicken Melts and Pasta Bakes such as the Truffle & Smoked Chicken Carbonara, Pesto Cream Chicken & Mozzarella Pasta, and Beef Ragu Bolognese Pasta.
For those with a sweet tooth, fresh pastries are available, including global best-sellers like Maple Dip Donuts, Boston Cream Donuts and Cinnamon Sugar Timbits. They also feature Malaysia-exclusive treats including Pineapple Filled Donuts, Kaya Filled Donuts as well as Kaya Filled Timbits.
All Tims ingredients are meticulously sourced from halal-certified suppliers, ensuring that no pork, lard, or alcohol is served at their establishment, in full compliance with Malaysia’s dietary guidelines.
Art and Heart : Local Collaborations and Community Impact
As part of the company’s mission to make a positive impact in the local community, Tim Hortons® Malaysia is partnering with MERCY Malaysia through the “Tims for Good MY®” initiative. For every Kaya Filled Donut purchased, 100% of the profits will go to MERCY Malaysia.
The “Tims for GoodTM” mission isn’t just about serving up the best ingredients; it’s also about creating spaces that connect the heart and soul of the Malaysian community.
In addition to their commitment to the community, Tim Hortons® Malaysia has teamed up with local artist Asyikin Abdullah from Lakar by Mekar to design the restaurants at both IOI City Mall and Sunway Velocity. When guests step inside the restaurants, they’ll be greeted by a captivating hand-painted mural featuring floral and batik motifs, bringing to life the Malaysian touch.
Guests can expect a warm and cosy welcome to the new Tim Hortons® restaurants that are fitted with warm tones and light wood elements. With natural light streaming through the windows, these locations are the perfect spots to relax, unwind and take a couple of selfies too!
To celebrate the launch, Tim Hortons® Malaysia at IOI City Mall and Sunway Velocity has planned some exciting promotions :
1. The first 100 customers with any purchase will receive a weekly free small cafe latte for 6 months from 15-16 August 2024 at IOI City Mall and from 17–18 August 2024, at Sunway Velocity.
2. Customers who spend RM80 and above on a single receipt will receive an exclusive artist tote
bag (while stock lasts!).
Following its launch at IOI City Mall and Sunway Velocity. Tim Hortons® looks to open outlets in Aeon Bukit Tinggi, Sunway Pyramid, and other key retail locations in the coming months.
