I got my hands dirty last weekend at the latest AEON Mall KL Midtown 🌱🌱🌱

We planted around 1,500 shrubs as part of the AEON Hometown Forest Programme before the mall opens its door to the public on 5 November 2026.

AEON CO. (M) BHD. (“AEON”) continued its commitment to environmental sustainability and the programme brought together around 150 participants, including schoolchildren from The Japanese School of Kuala Lumpur, members of AEON’s Board of Directors, the local community from Kompleks Kediaman Kakitangan Awam Jalan Duta, and AEON employees, to create a greener, more welcoming environment around the new mall.

The programme reflects AEON’s ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and its philosophy of pursuing peace with the customer as its starting point, respecting people and contributing to the local community.

Today’s tree planting programme is part of a larger landscaping effort across AEON Mall KL Midtown. The greenery aims to enhance the mall’s surroundings and create a more pleasant setting for visitors and the local community.
Sustainability has also been built into the mall’s development. AEON Mall KL Midtown is housed in a GreenRE Gold-certified building, featuring an energy-efficient cooling system, rainwater harvesting and water-saving fittings. The mall also features a 1.5-acre rooftop linear park, bringing green space into the urban setting.
Through these efforts, AEON aims to create a mall that goes beyond shopping, offering a welcoming space where people can gather, spend time with family and friends, and connect more closely with nature.
The AEON Hometown Forest Programme at AEON Mall KL Midtown reinforces AEON’s continued support for environmental sustainability while encouraging community participation in building a greener future.
To AEON, thank you for hosting such a meaningful day and for inviting me to be part of something bigger than ourselves. It was an honour to help plant the roots of a greener tomorrow, and I can’t wait to come back and see them grow!
