Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I had the pleasure recently to try out Guinness’s Brand New Stout especially for the Malaysian beer lovers – Guinness Bright.

A smooth and fresh stout infused with invigorating coffee, ginger, and lemongrass extracts, Guinness Bright is stout as you’ve never seen it before.

“Guinness Bright is a stout unlike anything we’ve brewed at Guinness before,” said Nick Larkworthy, Marketing Manager for Guinness and Diageo brands at Heineken Malaysia Berhad, “the smooth, fresh taste and unique flavour profile makes Guinness Bright a more approachable stout with a refreshing taste, perfect for those who wouldn’t normally consider themselves stout fans. Stout-lovers won’t be disappointed either, as more than 250 years of craft, expertise, and knowhow of brewing incredible stout has been brought to bear in the creation of Guinness Bright.”

Crafted exclusively for Malaysia, Guinness Bright was developed in partnership between brewers at Heineken Malaysia Berhad and Guinness’ Open Gate Brewery in Dublin, and is not available anywhere else in the world.

Guinness Bright is available in 325ml bottles and 320ml cans, and can be found at bars, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, and supermarkets across Peninsular and East Malaysia.

Bottled at 4.5% for a smooth finish, Guinness Bright will complement the existing lineup of Guinness Draught and Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, and is intended as a permanent addition to the range of brews on offer in Malaysia.

It is a shame as I have tried looking for Guinness Bright at so many stores, restaurants and coffee shops but to my despair most of these joints do not seem to even know about Guinness Bright! What are your salespersons doing!

There’s no taste of ginger and lemongrass, not as great as I thought…
