Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Bunga Emas Restaurant that is located inside Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur to sample some of their tantalizing signatures.
Bunga Emas Restaurant is the first fine dining Malay restaurant in a 5-star city center hotel. Each creation from the skillful chef represents more than just a tantalizing palate pleaser, it is an embodiment of authentic, traditional Malay culture.
For a truly intimate experience, Bunga Emas Restaurant offers private rooms designed to let diners commune with regal, Malay dining traditions. In addition to 3 private rooms, 2 Bilik Bersila allows you to enjoy your meal in true splendor, while seated cross-legged on plush seat cushions. With a capacity of 100 pax, the restaurant provides an ideal venue for corporations and individuals looking to entertain and dine in the comfort of an exclusive Malay environment.
Culinary creations at Bunga Emas Restaurant are often served with a flourish in Malay Hidangan style and complemented by the melodies of live Malay traditional music. Kekapis Jeruk Amra for the appetizer, featuring Marinated Scallops on Pegaga and Ulam Raja Salad, Mango Sambal and Jamaican Plum sauce.
Dishes at Bunga Emas Restaurant are classic and contemporary concoction which infused with time-honored Malay culinary traditions passed down from generation to generation, like this Udang Rempah Ratus with succulent braised King Prawns in addictive Cumin and Coriander Gravy.
Pucuk Paku Goreng Cili, a wok fried dish with Wild Fern Leaves in Sambal Paste.
Ayam Masak Lemak Nangka, braised Boneless Chicken in Spicy Turmeric Sauce and Young Jackfruits.
Served warm, this Pulut Hitam dessert with Coconut, Palm Sugar and Almond Flakes comes with an attractive presentation that I am quite impressed.
