Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to MiCasa All Suite Hotel for their romantic Valentine’s Day preview. Priced at RM299 nett per couple, you get to experience a night amidst fairy lights this Valentine’s at The Gazebo by the Pool!
To kick start the Valentine’s Day dinner, Fresh Oysters was served as the 1st course. Chef complemented the oysters with Nobu sauce that is rich in fragrance and umami taste to enrich its flavour, making it easier to indulge for someone like me who not really into fresh oyster.
Colourful in presentation, this Salmon Tartare with Avocado and Mango featured a savory and sweet medley of mouth-watering flavours and textures. It reminded me that a relationship is a lot like a roller coaster with ups and downs, a big mixture of happy and hate feelings. The ones who make it through everything are the ones really in love!
Served warm and well-balanced in taste, we then had the beautiful spring vegan Asparagus and Spinach Soup, which was healthy and did not taste ‘horrible’ at all even though it was in green colour.
Focusing on the use of quality ingredients while emphasizing on light and fresh flavours for healthy feasting, I recommend this main course Pan Fried Halibut Fish and Scallop to the fish lovers. The serving is generous, this main dish will definitely fill you up with much satisfaction.
On the other hand, meat aficionados will appreciate the beefy-licious Grilled Wagyu Eye Round as your perfect main course for the special occasion. Piled high with herbed potatoes, asparagus and grilled vegetables, the creamy foie gras that sat on top complemented the red meat very nicely.
For dessert, it was my favourite Creme Brulee, a classic French dessert with rich vanilla custard topped with a hard layer of caramel. It may be old-school, but hey, better to be safe than going home grumpy since it is the V-day 😉 So grab a spoon and crack on!
