Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya for their ‘Seronoknya Raya’ Sponge-tastic Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri launching event with SpongeBob SquarePants!
In celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants’ 20th anniversary, the concourse area of WCT Malls will be transformed into a magical world where Malaysian fans can join the tiny residents from the underwater world for a fun-filled holiday adventure.
The world’s most lovable SpongeBob SquarePants and his best friend Patrick Star will be spreading cheers and making special appearances at Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya (Paradigm PJ), Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru (Paradigm JB), and gateway@klia2. You can head over to these WCT Malls to meet and greet the enthusiastic SpongeBob SquarePants and his best friend, the cheerful Patrick Star in person for a close-up photo-opportunity.
You get to see the famous under-the-sea pineapple house, never-seen-before merchandises including limited edition collectible pop culture figures, fun-loving novelties, plush toys, a giant inflatable SpongeBob SquarePants and more!

With his ever-optimistic and upbeat character, SpongeBob SquarePants together with his trusty sidekick, Patrick Star will sure bring forth lots of laughter and beacon of hope to everyone participating in our ‘Seronoknya Raya’ activities at our malls while strengthening bonds with family members, relatives and friends,” said Ms. Selena Chua, Chief Executive Officer of WCT Malls Management.
Standing at 11 metres in height and 6 metres in width, visitors to Paradigm Mall JB will be able to catch a glimpse of the enormous Inflatable SpongeBob, which received Malaysian Book of Records for the Biggest Inflatable Cartoon Character in Malaysia. Patrons will be able to take photographs with the 20 life-sized SpongeBob figurines and upload it on their social media.

Chua added, “To spread the spirit of hope and happiness to communities in need during this holy month, Paradigm Mall PJ will be hosting 2 special charity programs #SeronoknyaMenolong namely ‘A Library of Hope’, a book donation exercise for underprivileged children; and ‘Denim Donation Drive’, to support single mothers. Both charity programs are the continuing efforts of WCT Malls’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to contribute and improve sustainable development of the local society.”
Denim Donation Drive
In support of empowering single and underprivileged mothers of Suri Lifestyle by providing financial opportunity and living skills including sewing, Paradigm Mall PJ encourages shoppers to donate their clean old denims, where the denim material will be upcycled into unique handcrafted products for sale. Shoppers can donate their old pair of denim by dropping it in the donation box located at level CC from 10 May – 9 June 2019 to support the cause.
‘A Library of Hope’ Program
Join the festivity of sharing and giving by donating new or used story books, text books, reference books, educational books and etc in any language, suitable for both primary and secondary schoolers. Books can be dropped off at the donation box on Level CC from 10 May – 9 June 2019. All books collected will be distributed to the children in Rumah Anak Yatim Sungai Buaya located at Banting.
