Recently opened in Dataran Sunway Kota Damansara, Monster in the Hauz is a simple restaurant that serves simple comfort foods in a much healthy way. Located at the first floor, customers will need to look for their signboard first to find the restaurant. Luckily Monster in the Hauz’s logo is in bright red color background hence it is quite easy to spot it.

Olive Fried Rice (RM9.90)
[portfolio_slideshow include=”3816″]
This is definitely not an ordinary fried rice to me! Using pickled olive as the main ingredient, it gives an intense aroma and flavor to the fried rice that towards salty taste. My guess that this dish will appeals more to the guy’s heavier taste buds, but after few spoons, I got addicted as well and wish to have the whole plate for myself.

Spaghetti Pork Bolognese (9.90)

Chef prepared the tomato puree herself for almost 5 hours just to ensure her customers get to enjoy a home-cooked taste of Spaghetti Pork Bolognese. It is definitely healthier too as no coloring and preservatives are added to the sauce compare to commercial ready-made tomato puree. Understandable, the flavor is not that ‘concentrated’ but I still enjoyed it till clean plate.

Original Monster Burger (RM9.90)

All the burger patties at Monster in the Hauz are prepared by chef with her own proud recipe. Using fresh ingredients and cooked in a healthier way, diners can enjoy few more bites without worrying much to burden the weight gain or shitty cholesterol level.

Monster Burger Triple Play (RM28)

If for some reasons, one patty is not enough, two patties is not satisfying, no worries, the Monster Burger Triple Play that comes will three pork patties definitely a must order for the hardcore fans.

For a little bit of kick, do try the Black Pepper Burger. The taste is just nice to me, not too overwhelming peppery spicy.
