Scallop Chawanmushi (RM20)

Love the satiny smooth steamed egg custard that topped with a whole scallop, adding perfection to a very simple classic dish.

*****

Sashimi Moriawase (5 Types – RM60)
[portfolio_slideshow include=”5083″]

Feast to the eyes as well, this thick cut fresh sashimi moriawase that included here were Salmon, Red Tuna, White Tuna, Scallop, and Red Clam. At Zakuro Two, customers can choose from a variety of fresh raw seafoods that are available. Just kindly ask the friendly staffs and they shall make the recommendations.

Comes in 2 different portions, 5 types (3 pieces of each) at RM60 and 7 types (3 pieces of each) at RM90.

Salmon Salad (RM28)

Zakuro Two offers few types of salad like the Sashimi Salad, Mango Salad, Avocado Salad, and Potato Salad. We were drawn to order this Salmon Salad for its crispy fried salmon skin.

Apart from the mixed vegetables, the fresh salmon were placed on top in a triplet style and garnished with a nice amount of ebiko. Drizzled with Zakuro Two special dressing, it has a hint of spiciness oomph from the wasabi mixed.

*****

Soft Shell Crab Maki (RM30)

One of the best sellers at Zakuro Two is their Soft Shell Crab Maki, which chef rolled it with crunchy soft shell crab and crabstick, topped with own mixed mayo and my favorite ebiko.

Tempura Moriawase (RM25)

We had also the signature classic Japanese dish Tempura Moriawase that chef deep fried the assorted seafood and vegetables in flour batter. Crunchy and nice.

*****

Gindara Seaweed Butter (RM45)
[portfolio_slideshow include=”5088″]

Another signature dish at Zakuro Two from Chef Heng’s creation, grilled black cod fish with seaweed butter and garlic mushroom.

Beautiful plated, chef blended the seaweed first before frying with butter, garlic, and mirin to produce an aromatic flavor with hint of sweetness.

*****

Cod Mentaiko Batayaki (RM48)
[portfolio_slideshow include=”5091″]

Cooked in batayaki style, the cod fish was layered with a generous amount of fish roe (mentaiko) on top, it gave a nice savory taste that complimented quite perfect with the buttery flavor of cod fish.

The dish served together with noodles that blended well with the aromatic sauce, satiny smooth in al-dente, I slurped with much satisfaction.

*****

Mentaiko Yaki Udon (RM18)

A udon dish in stir fried style, mostly flavored by the covered cod roe and shredded seaweed. Simple savory taste but kinda addictive to me.
