Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Way Modern Chinois, Kuala Lumpur’s ultra-contemporary Chinese restaurant, to sample their elegantly created festive dishes that capture the well wishes of the Chinese New Year.
Way is opened on Chinese New Year eve (7 February), closed on 8 & 9 February, and re-opened on 10 February for dinner only (from 6 pm).

Priced at RM88++ (2-4 pax) and RM118++ (6-8 pax), the classic Salmon Yee Sang can be further enhanced with the addition of crispy silver bait (RM28++), succulent sweet prawn (RM38++) or additional fresh sashimi-grade salmon (RM38++).

Way, meaning ‘unique’ or ‘one and only’ in Mandarin, is renowned as the city’s chicest destination for fine dim sum and modern Cantonese fare.
Serving modern fine dining Chinese cuisine with an unexpected twist and unparalleled sophistication, Way’s elegant Cantonese dishes are inspired by traditional cooking methods contrasted with bold, innovative presentation.
