Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to SkyBar Kuala Lumpur for the World Martini Day celebration event by the world’s first luxury vodka, Belvedere Vodka.

In conjunction with World Martini Day, Belvedere Vodka aims to continue educating cocktail-lovers across the globe about the iconic cocktail, as well as inspire consumers to discover and experiment with the ingredients to find a martini that best suits their individual palate.

Martini, an iconic cocktail synonymous with class and sophistication that made up of gin or vodka, vermouth, and a garnish.

Made with Dankowskie rye, a superior rye grown in Poland’s Mazovian region, and diluted with proprietary artesian water, Belvedere Vodka is the natural choice as a base for a martini, as there is nowhere for the vodka to hide inside a martini.

To showcase Belvedere Vodka’s strength as a martini base, Asia Pacific Brand Ambassador for Belvedere Vodka, Marek Vojcarcik, was on-hand at the event to mix up 3 delicious signature Belvedere martinis.

The martini variations served at the event showcased the endless possibilities in creating a martini with minimal ingredients and 4 easy steps to make, as it leaves room for creativity when approached with confidence. Those who enjoy the more definitive flavours of a martini indulged in the Belvedere Classic Martini that combines Belvedere Vodka with Lillet Blanc, and is garnished with a refreshing twist of pink grapefruit. For those who like a bit of a salty kick, there was also the Belvedere Dirty Martini, which is essentially the Classic Martini with olive brine. Enthusiasts also enjoyed the Reverse Vesper Martini, which offered a bit more punch and zest, made with Belvedere Vodka, gin and Lillet Blanc.

Guests also had the opportunity to mix their own martinis with Marek showing them the step-by-step process behind the bar, bringing their own special touch to the cocktail.

The event also kicked off the search for the best Belvedere Martini in town, whereby participating outlets will be showcasing their own Belvedere Martini creation from 4 July to 4 October, 2016.

Visit these outlets throughout the 3-month campaign to sample these unique, delectable martinis, with each Belvedere creation ordered counting as a vote for the outlet. Belvedere Vodka will also be rewarding you with special lucky draw prizes. Just submit your lucky draw card along with the receipt at the participating outlets. Prizes include:
