Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Freond Tavern for their exclusive set menu specially created for lovers to celebrate the upcoming Valentine’s Day.

Located at Setiawalk Puchong, Freond means “Friend” in Old English, serving you wholesome European cuisine and wide selection of authentic European Beer & Wine in a wooden cozy atmosphere.

Priced at RM288 nett, the Valentine’s Day set menu offers a scrumptious start to a romantic night out with the Couple Tapas comprising quick seared trout, grilled king prawn with mayo and sweet sourish pickle papaya served at side to open up your appetite.

If you and your loved one are both fans of seafood, come to Freond Tavern and create the most memorable night with this Lover Seafood Factory. Comes in sharing platter with generous portion, you can sample an array of scrumptious seafood including live Canadian lobster, salmon, soft shell crab, scallop, mussel, clam, corn on the cob and lastly the mashed potato.

Baked with lots of cheese to have you licking your fingers and smacking your lips in satisfaction, chef thoughtfully placed the lobster and beetroot foam in heart-shape to add a touch of romance to your Valentine’s night.

Indulge your sweet tooth with the playful Dessert in Love, featuring romantic pinkish sugar cotton candy and chocolate lollipop, the perfect way to end the sweetest night to remember.

Try also their Frosty Beer with either Carlsberg (RM10.90 1 mug ; RM98.80 10 mugs) or Hoegaarden (RM14.90 1 mug ; RM138.80 10 mugs). The beer did not turn warm even until my last gulp, felt so refreshing!
