Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Kokoro Confe, a Japanese cafe and convenience store that is located in the happening town of Desa Sri Hartamas.
I love its simple and minimalist set up, a suitable place to hang out for casual dining with family and friends. Most of the customers like to sit under this ‘Cherry Blossom’ tree, it feels so romantic and warm to me.
Feast on skillfully prepared modern Japanese cuisine, this Chicken Teriyaki Rice Set (RM22.90) is just perfect to fill up your hunger especially during lunch or dinner rush. Flavoured with special sauce, chef is committed to deliver surprises to chicken lovers with this tasty marinated tender meat.
For fish lovers, you can opt for the Grilled Salmon Rice Set (RM25.90), which tasted even better with their special mayo garlic sauce. Kokoro Confe also serves it in Teriyaki or Shioyaki style for more choices to please different diners’ taste buds.
What if you like Udon and Karaage Chicken? Tadaa… the kind of comfort food that can satisfy both my cravings. According to your preference, you can also add on Ajitsuke Tamago, Tori Katsu, Ebi Tempura, or Yasai Tempura to your bowl of udon or soba.
Taking pride in the quality of its food, Kokoro Confe also emphasizes the healthy value in their dishes, such as this Nagaimo Tuna Spaghetti (RM19.90) that consists of spaghetti, tuna, mountain yam, and spring onion in cold soya sauce. Nagaimo is a kind of mountain yam with slimy texture but packs of many nutritional benefits. It is known as Huai Shan in Chinese and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for long time already.
If you prefer light verson of cream pasta, this Carbonara Saba Spaghetti (RM18.90) will have you savouring in joy together with grilled saba fish and deep fried nagaimo strips to add some crunchy texture.
Pleasant to the eyes, beautiful dessert Japanese Chocolate Swiss Roll (RM11.90) with a thick layer of light cream filling. Remember try the green tea flavour too if you are a die hard fan for matcha.
Soft and fluffy, I enjoyed their Bis Caramel Pancake (RM16.90) that serves together with buttery biscuit crumbles and a scoop of premium vanilla ice cream. Perfect to indulge in a lazy afternoon with a cup of coffee or tea.
