Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to eCurve for Galito’s grand launching of its new restaurant.
A casual dining restaurant, Galito’s has made Malaysia the first country in South East Asia to serve up its lip-smacking and flavourful dishes. Galito’s operates 150 restaurants, in 15 countries across 4 continents. Ri-Yaz Global Food is the master franchise holder for Galito’s in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
Galito’s was founded by Louis Germishuys who cares deeply about sharing South Africa’s best flavours with the rest of the world, one flame-grilled chicken at a time.
“We believe in staying true to Galito’s tradition in providing unique and quality African dishes with the sole purpose of satisfying our customers’ needs. We strive not only to serve our customers the best taste and bold flavours of our dishes but also to provide them with impeccable service that exceeds the needs of our diners. We know that Galito’s best tasting flame-grilled chicken at more wallet-friendly prices will soon become a Malaysian favourite,” said Louis Germishuys during his welcome speech at the event.
Liver and Roll (RM9.90), served with toasted roll with butter and made only with the finest Galito’s ingredients, a must-try starter dish at Galito’s if you like chicken liver.
My first time tasting the Galibowl (RM15.90), an appetizing dish of Opporto Rice mixed with chicken cubes, spinach and their signature Sishebo sauce.
Served with toasted bun, mayo-dip, tomato, lettuce and red onion, the Boneless Chicken Breast Burger (RM13.90) was grilled perfectly to my liking.
Marinated for 24 hours in natural ingredients infused with a secret blend of herbs and spices, Galito’s chicken is flame-grilled and brush-basted for the perfect flavour and tenderness.
The pricing is also very friendly at Galito’s. Their flame-grilled chicken is offered at RM11.50 for quarter portion, with one side at RM13.90 and two sides at RM15.90. A half portion of flame-grilled chicken starts at RM17.90 with options for one or two sides priced at RM20.90 and RM23.90 respectively.
The High Commissioner of South Africa to Malaysia, Her Excellency Samkelisiwe Isabel Mhlanga was also at Galito’s grand launch to grace the ceremony and sampled few signature dishes.
