Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences for their ‘A Nostalgic Celebration’ Chinese New Year dining promotion at Red Chinese Cuisine from 4 January to 19 February 2019.
This year is all about timeless cultural traditions that have been forgotten at Red Chinese Cuisine. Guests will be greeted by lanterns and pink cherry blossoms that symbolise good luck, while a pop-up, retro grocery store or ‘Kedai Runcit’ in the Malaysian language, depicting the good ol’ days adorns the hotel’s main lobby.
The auspicious festive menus begin with Yee Sang, a must-have Chinese New Year prosperity salad, highlighting Red’s very own homemade sauces. Featuring variety toppings like Fresh Salmon, Fresh Tuna, Scallop Lips, Jellyfish, Sea Urchin, Tempura Prawn, Crispy Whitebait, Black Truffle, Abalone, Crispy Soft Shell Crab and Crispy Fish Skin, the Fresh Fruits and Garden Greens Yee Sang (RM70 half ; RM138 full) tastes great and is for all diners. Available for dine-in or takeaway.

Vegetarian options are also available upon request. For intimate gatherings this spring festival, private dining rooms are available for family reunions or company events.
You can visit Red Chinese Cuisine on Chinese New Year’s Eve and throughout the 15-day celebration. On 12 February 2019, there will be a Lion Dance Performance and giant Yee Sang Toss to celebrate the auspicious occasion with the public.
