Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to Vasco’s, Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s all-day dining restaurant, for their Chocolate Factory dinner buffet, where the experience is definitely a sweet adventure across various regions in Europe.
Vasco’s unique name was inspired by intrepid traveller Vasco Da Gama, who embarked on his maiden exploit and was the first European to reach India by sea. Drawing inspiration from his voyage to traverse the world in search of new routes, Vasco’s aims to bring you on a global taste fest as you sample the various flavours of China, Japan, Malaysia, and Europe in one convenient location.
For the month of August, in line with a concerted Hilton effort to highlight the seasonal produce of the month, Vasco’s brings you Chocolate Factory, a playful gallivanting adventure across the various regions of Europe to bring you the very best of chocolates.
The chocolate buffet, a specially-curated addition to the usual buffet spread, features a regional tasting menu with an array of high-quality chocolates such as Valrhona from France, Felchlin from Switzerland, Callebaut from Belgium, and Kondima from Germany.

I also enjoyed the selection of cocoa-infused desserts such as verrines, profiteroles, Mille Feuille, truffles, and many more that were available on the spread.
These decadent desserts are the brainchild of Chef Joachim Caula, who has more than 30 years of experience in the pastry kitchen. In 1998, Joachim was presented with the title of Chevalier d’Honoraire of the Chaine des Rotisseurs by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. Using only the finest ingredients, the Swiss chef’s repertoire include Mille Feuille, Opera Cake, Hazelnut Chocolate Cream cake, and many more.
Chocolate Factory is available daily from 1 to 31 August 2019 6pm until 10pm. It is priced at RM188 nett per adult and RM68 nett per child. 20% discounts are applicable for credit card partners and in-house guests, while standard Hilton Dining APAC discounts also apply.
