Thanks to the wonderful invitation, I recently went to the launch event of 28 Studio KL cafe, which is located at 9-1, Jalan 24/6, Taman Setapak Indah, Kuala Lumpur.

28 Studio KL cafe features an interesting concept that not only combines an aesthetic atmosphere but also provides a small-scale community space and a self-service photo studio.
Officially operating from 12 noon to 1 am, their launch event was flooded with visitors from various backgrounds including coffee enthusiasts, social media influencers, media partners, and was also enlivened by the presence of local celebrities.

Founded by Qistina Batrisyia Binti Ahmad Nizam, 28 Studio KL was established to be a comfortable and attractive cafe, to enjoy the atmosphere, strengthen relationships, and create memories. The combination of art, quality coffee, and a friendly atmosphere makes it not just a cafe, but also a space that sparks inspiration and fosters meaningful interactions.
“28 Studio KL is a cafe born from a dream that has now become a reality. It was created as a space for people to connect, share moments, and enjoy a cup of coffee prepared with care. ‘28’ signifies a new beginning for me and my father, and I hope it will also be a source of inspiration for every customer who walks in,” said Qistina.

I enjoy the entire space of this cafe which features wooden elements, natural lighting, and a modern aesthetic that evokes a calming and intimate feeling. Interestingly, the interior of 28 Studio KL was designed by Qistina’s father, Ahmad Nizam Mansjur, who is also the owner of Kayuk Sdn Bhd.

To commemorate the official opening, the first 100 customers will have the chance to spin a prize wheel to win exclusive mystery gifts, as a form of appreciation to the community who came to support this historic day.
Several well-known names in the visual arts and social media scene were also seen at the event. Among them were contemporary artists such as Univorso, PocketQa, SITIS, Arif Khan, and Nazrul Jalil, whose works adorn the cafe walls, turning it into a lively mini-gallery. Guests also didn’t miss the opportunity to take pictures at a special corner themed around the spirit of new beginnings, which aligns with 28 Studio KL’s vision.

This launch was also graced by the presence of a strategic partner, Dzili Empire, who played a significant role in the marketing and brand development of 28 Studio KL. “We are very proud to support a project that is not only visually beautiful but also has strong community values,” said Dzili.

28 Studio KL is not just a relaxing destination, but also a space that can be booked for various small events; including a self-service studio and ’28 Den’ for exclusive sessions. This cafe is kid-friendly, making it suitable for all ages.
With its official launch, 28 Studio KL introduces a relaxing space concept that combines elements of art, coffee, and community; making every visit an experience beyond just drinking coffee.
