With theme BARISTA, Markets by Jaya One was back last weekend with all things coffee related!
Happens once every two months, Markets features more than 80 vendors ranging from clothing and craft to food and housewares, making it the largest lifestyle bazaar in Klang Valley only at The School by Jaya One!
Partnering with Barista Guild Asia, public get to experience coffee through varieties of activities such as Coffee Appreciation Workshop, Latte Art Workshop, Latte Art Throwdown Competition and Barista Live Performances, besides the usual happening Lifestyle Bazaar and yummilicious Food Trucks section.
Center stage was set up near the escalator area to held the coffee workshops and competition.
Barista was concentrating in doing his best of latte art for the competition, while judges at the back were giving points on his consistency and presentation.
Nestle professional pack of full cream milk, one of the sponsors for Latte Art Throwdown competition. Its creamy taste and foamy beauty are perfect to create a nice coffee art.
Talented artist from Atelier Art Space/Gallery was demostrating how to do Coffee Stain Painting to the public.
I also found this booth quite interesting where you can donate or pick up free coffee grounds, the waste product from brewing coffee. Do you know that it is rich in potassium, magnesium and phosphorus, that’s why garderners like to use it for composting to fertilize their plants the natural way. Used coffee grounds have other homemade uses as well in wood staining, air fresheners, and body soap scrubs.
Got myself some snacks to fill up the tummy before continue to shop around, like this Takoyaki, my all-time favourite.
Overall, I had so much fun at the Markets22: BARISTA, and get to learn some tips about brewing a good cuppa coffee from the vendors. Looking forward to the next one in May, can’t wait to know what theme will it be.

I would have loved to attend just to learn about coffee. Am not an addict or even drinker but these sessions would make me appreciate coffee more.

Always love occasions where we can learn more about coffee and how to go about brewing it. Miss having the beverage as I have toned down quite a bit, but will certainly catch up on this one the next time around.
