Thanks for the wonderful invitation, I recently went to TRACE Restaurant and Bar to check out their new Malaysia-Lah High Tea set. It is located at the 40th floor of Element Kuala Lumpur and has breathtaking views of the Kuala Lumpur city skyline!

Malaysia-Lah High Tea is set to charm diners with a refreshed treats inspired by everyone’s favorite local delights and carefully curated tea pairing with Dilmah t-series. In celebration and appreciation of Merdeka and Malaysia Day, Element Kuala Lumpur’s innovative culinary team led by Executive Chef, Taib Ridhwan has crafted a fusion of flavorful high tea menu inspired by the diversity in Malaysia’s local recipes and cultures.

Malaysia-Lah High Tea menu is also a significant effort to live the Element by Westin’s objective to reduce carbon footprints and support sustainability by increasing local sourcing. 90% of the ingredients for the menu is locally produced and sourced.

Particularly, Dilmah demonstrating sustainability ethics by simply looking at carbon-neutral ways of producing their tea entices Element Kuala Lumpur to collaborate and incorporate its products in our menu as we share the same concept and understanding about the power of sustainability and the pathway it paves for the future,” said Nikie Mok, General Manager of Element Kuala Lumpur.

Begin your Malaysia-Lah High Tea gourmet journey with cold bites like Young Papaya Salad and Duck Spring Roll. Staying true to its wellness pillar, vegetarian menu is also included such as Mock Vegetarian Chicken Lotus Bun and Indian Chat Masala Pie Tee. These cold bites are paired with Dilmah t-Series Green Tea with Jasmine Flower, a mild and delicate tea with pale yellow infusion and soothing aroma, suited with mild or subtly-flavored food like salads and chicken.

Indulge in hot savouries like Buttered Prawn Skewer with Golden Egg Floss, Mini Beef Satay complemented with iconic Peanut Sauce, Tandoori Chicken Boxing with flavorsome Coriander Chutney and Otak-Otak Terrine with Percik Sauce. These piquant savories are served with Dilmah t-Series Darjeeling Tea. Defined yet soft, the robust flavor, aroma and tannins are most ideal to pair with full-flavored food such as meat and spicy dishes.

Complete your high tea tradition with a dessert spread that enchants with varieties of truly local inspired treats such as Pandan Gula Melaka Cake, Cempedak Chilled Cheese, Creamy Lychee Mousse Tartlet and Sugarcane Pearl Sago. These sweet notes are relished with the seductive, alluring, and gentle brew of Dilmah t-Series Rose with French Vanilla Tea.
