Authentic Kelantanese cuisine’s recipes from Mama Yu, a local Chinese lady from Tanah Merah, Kelantan, customers can get to enjoy the feel of home-cooked meal here with their nasi kukus or nasi lemak with fragrant ayam goreng berempah.

Served together with vegetables and crispy keropok at the side, you need to savour the nasi kukus with their tantalizing gulai kawah and kerutuh sauce that cooked with gula melaka. Made from own recipe of mix herbs and spices, I kinda like my nasi kukus to be ‘banjir’ with lots of gravy. Spoon after spoon, it was very easy to get you addicted with the spicy taste just like that.

For those with heavier taste buds and prefer the extra kick, do try out their sambal belacan as well for the burst of hot flavour. No kidding here, I personally cannot take it very much cos its spiciness is way over my acceptance level, phew! But hey, for those hot and spicy lovers out there, guess you will enjoy the exploding taste as much as my makan kaki who kept wiping off sweat from his forehead nonstop.

Just opened for business recently in October 2013, MamaYu Nasi Kukus is also available at Ming Tien Restaurant and Nam Yiang Restaurant that both situated at Bandar Sunway.
