Thanks to the courtesy of LivingSocial and invitation from isaactan.net, I had the opportunity to savour a vast collection of traditional, healthy, and nutritious Chinese foods that Taang Shifu is renowned for.
Located inside the Paradigm Mall, Taang Shifu restaurant has a modern Chinese concept applied to its interior layout. Bright lit with warm yellow light, customers are being served in a cozy environment by friendly and professionally-trained staffs. Some of the must-try signature dishes here at Taang Shifu includes the :
Taang Shifu Signature Soup (RM38.90)
Boiled and stewed for 8 hours till rich and mellow, this Taang Shifu Signature Soup contains Panax Ginseng Roots, American Ginseng and Cordyceps, together with dried scallop, mushroom, fish maw and a variety of Chinese herbs. It has the health benefit to recuperate energy, revive vitality and improve immune system.
Mee Suah (RM13.90)
This nourishing mee suah was cooked together with nutritious ingredients like dried scallops and abalone slices.
Stewed Pork Rice (RM7.90)
Chef prepared the stewed pork together with Angelica dang gui that believes can helps to regulate our blood circulation. Served with steamed rice or the healthy brown rice, this dish was equal in both nutritional value and tastiness.
Dried Scallops and Petite Abalone Mixed Rice (RM16.90)
Guarantees a satisfying gastronomic experience and able to help in rejuvenate mentality, this mixed rice was packed with lots of healthy good stuffs inside including the dried scallops and petite abalone.
Eggplant with Scallop in X.O. Sauce (RM16.90)
This nourishing dish can helps to balances our blood pressure, the pan-fried eggplant with scallop in fragrant X.O. sauce. Yummy!
Claypot Beancurd (RM26.90)
This dish was one of my favorites at the dinner, chef cooked the beancurd with sliced dory fish and pickled olive in piping hot claypot, which suppose can help to relax gluten and refreshing mind. The tender dory fish soaked in all the wonderful essence from the savory gravy, it was so good I actually had few pieces to myself.
Cordycep Flower and Japanese Mushroom with Sliced Pork (RM38.90)
Probably the crown of the night, this crowd favorite sliced pork was prepared together with the cordycep flower and Japanese mushroom in claypot, which believe can help to improve respiratory function, asthma, and cough emphysema, as well as to improve brain memory, reduce blood sugar and pressure.
Braised Pork with Black Sesame Bun (RM15.90)
A hearty savory dish that served together with 4 black sesame buns. How to savour it? Just placed some fragrant and tender braised pork meat on the bun while it was warm so that you can have the nice soft texture.
Caramel Beancurd (RM5.90)
The meal would not be complete without indulging in some dessert favorites such as this classic smooth beancurd with caramel sauce. Customers can opt for the caramel ginger sauce too if you prefer to have a little bit of kick.
